Library Working to Resolve Issues with Some E-mail Notices to Patrons

Because of  technical problems, you may not be receiving date due notices by e-mail from DeKalb County Public Library. The Library is working to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you can check your account by clicking on the My Account button at the top of this page and logging in with your library card number and PIN. Overdue notices and notices to pick up holds by e-mail, text message and automated phone calls have not been affected. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Holiday Closings

All DeKalb County Public Library branches will be closed on Sunday, July 3 and Monday, July 4, 2016 in observance of Independence Day.

Library Ready for Release of Latest Harry Potter Story

The latest book in the famed Harry Potter series will officially be released Sunday July 31, 2016, and you can be one of the first patrons to check it out at DeKalb County Public Library.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child—Parts I and II by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany is now in the Library’s catalog, where you can place a hold—print and eBook formats. You’ll be able to get it on July 31 if…

            you are one of the first 100 people to place a hold, AND

            you select the Decatur Library as the branch where you want to pick it up

The Decatur Library, the main branch, is the only branch open on Sundays.
