Library to Conduct Pilot Early Literacy Program Aimed at Young Children

DeKalb County Public Library is one of just 11 public library systems in Georgia chosen to conduct a special, federally-funded early literacy pilot project aimed at young children. The Every Child Ready to Read project focuses on children from birth to four years old. Through special workshops parents learn to use simple practices—talking, singing, playing, reading and even writing with their children—to get the children ready to read.
